Mukashibanashi means ‘old story’ in Japanese. This story is translated from a series of children’s books.

ぶんぶくちゃがま, or ‘The Happiness Tea Kettle’, is the story of a tanuki (raccoon dog) who has an unfortunate experience when he goes looking for work.

The images are taken from the series 日本昔ばなしアニメ絵本; the title page and borders uses images from an animated series, ヘーベルハウス劇場 ふるさと再生 日本の昔ばなし.
